S-LEC SV
Introducing the Range of SEKISUI S-LEC SV Resins
S-LEC SV is a new resin from SEKISUI which maintains the same great characteristics as the S-LEC B resin series, but also has excellent rheological properties.S-LEC SV is a new resin from SEKISUI which maintains the same great characteristics as the S-LEC B resin series, but also has excellent rheological properties.
- S-LEC SVis a new polyvinyl acetal based polymer with excellent rheological properties
- S-LEC SVbonds strongly to metals and inorganic materials like glass and ceramics
- S-LEC SVis remarkably tough and flexible
Features
<Rheological Properties>
In general, polymer/solvent solutions exhibit elongational or honey-like stringing properties caused by polymer chain entanglement.
This stringing phenomenon causes processing and quality problems in production.
S-LEC SV is a resin specially formulated to prevent stringing.
Comparison data for S-LEC SV and PVB solutions are shown in Fig. 1.
Conventional PVB solution strings readily, while S-LEC SV has low stringing properties which vastly improve processibility.
*Time required for liquid string of resin/solvent solution to break
Measurement Conditions:
Solvent: Dihydroterpinyl Acetate
